My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We think all of our dogs are special with their own unique stories and background. But there is something about Dolly that we think everyone will fall for. This pittie girl was found in an alley where she suffered at the hands of the humans around her. Through it all, she stayed strong and loving. She trusted everyone, and for her it paid off when we were able to find her. With the help of the Bryan & Amanda Bickell Foundation, Dolly was rescued.

But that's not the end of her story. We soon found out that Dolly wasn't just a large girl- she was a large, pregnant pup! After a heartbreaking labor, Dolly gave birth to 8 puppies. All but one, Tennessee passed away. Dolly spent a good month recovering, but now she is ready for adoption!

Dolly is one of the sweetest dogs we've met. Even as pregnant as she was and as beat up as she may have been, she always looked for the good in humans. She is trusting, good-natured, and gets along with other dogs. She is working on obedience, but who isn't?!

Dolly would make a great first dog or a fabulous addition to a growing family. Would you like to help Dolly find her forever home? Check out our adoption page for more information!
