Bear Bear's Story...
Dolly and Bear Bear were surrendered to Friendship because their family could no longer afford to keep them. They are 8 year old friendly siblings that have manners and are house trained. The dogs have always lived with adults so it's not know if they like children or not. Bear Bear is a laid back fellow that likes cats and other dogs. He's a sweet boy that has some flea allergies but when on meds he's fine. Bear Bear can be adopted with or without his sister Dolly. Bear would just love a loving home.

If you have kids and/or a dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear Bear, a Elyria Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
