My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frankie was really close to his brother. He would like a friend to play with. You see, these two boys are 7 months old and spent their lives together in an indoor boarding facility, abandoned by another rescue. The facility was dim and they never had access to the outdoors. When we heard of their plight and went to get them, they were PETRIFIED of leaving the building, the only home they knew. Grass, cars, everything about the outdoor world was new to them. In the less than 2 weeks they've been in our care, they are making up for lost time! They LOVE playing outdoors. They are like 10 week old puppies trapped in 7 month old bodies. Their foster mom says they are so in sync and so in tune with one another, they turn at the same time, prefer to sleep in the same crate, etc. Rocky and Frankie don't have a mean bone in their bodies, they are nothing but love. They get along great with the other dogs and cats in their foster home, and absolutely love the 3 young boys they are living with. They need some training but are catching on very quick and doing AMAZING considering the neglect they suffered for their first 7 months. We strongly prefer to keep these boys together if possible. But the can be separated. They are neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, etc.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Our Official Website.

All of our dogs are or will be spayed or neutered prior to leaving rescue or shortly after. All adoption donations REQUIRE spay or neuter. Our dogs receive a distemper shot(s), rabies, and worming (we recommend having your vet do a fecal to ensure there are no parasites left) ether before they leave or included with surgery if done at our preferred vet clinics. We treat for fleas as needed and provide our foster dogs with heartworm medication. You will receive a medical record detailing what your dog has received, which may include microchipping.

Donations are non-refundable, however, we do offer a ten day trial, which must be stated on your application. Our pets may come with an offer for insurance. Please ask for details.

We strongly suggest training for all dogs to help create a bond between companion and owner. We can recommend trainers in and around Northwest Indiana.

ABRA dogs are fed well and we recommend premium dog food such as Canidae, Wellness, Evo, Earthborn, Kirkland (sold only at Costco) and a raw food diet. We highly encourage adopters to keep their new dog on a high quality food.

Our pregnant dogs are fed raw food and we start newborn puppies on raw as well. We believe the health of your animal is dictated by how well it is treated, what it is fed, an appropriate vaccine or holistic prevention, and how it is socialized. All Breeds are good breeds!

We receive many dogs from dog auction, so any dog over the age of two that comes from a dog auction is examined for a teeth cleaning prior to adoption.

Our adoption donations vary and are based on the overall cost of the dog and the expenses we inherit when they come from shelters or the dog auction. Visit our website for more information and an application www.allbreedrescueinc.com
