Corki recently spent some time living with a temporary foster who wanted to see what he was like in his home. Here's what the foster said, "Corki was perfect. Completely housebroken and good manners. Excellent on leash. Good companion, very mellow and low energy. He was a bit aloof at first. Corki then warmed up and engaged more as we spent time together, still super mellow, but likes ear and belly rubs. He's a good boy."
Corki comes from the south. He LOVES to walk in the woods and is amazing to watch. He trees squirrels and flushes birds. He even points! His prey drive is high, his scenting is spot on, and his eyesight is incredible. He is very focused. Is he a hunting dog? I don't know, but he enjoys his world in the woods.
Corki comes to you when he wants attention. He is not a lap dog or a cuddler, but he is nice and friendly. He's a great companion for someone who is looking for a buddy. After a long day or a long walk, you can sit and watch TV, and Corki will snooze away on the floor. He enjoys his own dog bed, too. He loves treats and bully sticks. It's our ritual, after a long walk, for him to go back to his kennel run, hop in his bed, and gently take a bully stick from me. He takes all treats very gently, is housebroken and has great house manners. He rides very well in the car. I really look forward to and enjoy my time with Corki each week. He's also a good listener, as he graciously lets me tell him about my week - and doesn't interrupt! He sure has my heart!!
Corki is a true sport dog with a good heart. If you're interested, put in an application. Maybe Corki is for you!
