Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Sasha" is a 1.5-yo spayed female GSD/Husky mix who is very sweet and energetic. Sasha is very affectionate with her people and is friendly with everyone she meets, though she gets a little carried away with strangers at first and will jump up on them. Sasha is great with other dogs and loves playing at the dog park. She's somewhat timid of other dogs at first, but warms up quickly.
Sasha is NOT good w/ cats. Sasha weighs about 60 lbs.
Sasha received some group training when she was a puppy, and several one-on-one training sessions thereafter, but would definitely benefit from additional training. Sasha will still chew some objects in the house when left unattended, so she is restricted to just the kitchen and backyard when her owner is gone. She is fine in the house when her owner is home. Sasha loves to play fetch and to run--she would make a great jogging partner. She definitely needs a home where she will receive lots of exercise and attention; a home with another playful dog would be ideal.
Sasha's present owner adopted her from a family in Oakland summer of 2012 when she was about seven weeks old. The father was a white Husky, and the mother was a black GSD. Sasha's owner is seeking a new home for her because Sasha needs much more exercise and stimulation than she is able to provide.
GSRSV has evaluated Sasha and is placing her as a "Program Dog." This means that GSRSV is placing Sasha through its adoption program while her owner continues to care for her. Sasha is located in Berkeley. Her adoption fee is $225.
