Seeking love and companionship: Ziggy is my name and I am a handsome delightful 7 year old boy who still likes to play with toys. My foster parents and the veterinary staff think I may be a beagle/basset hound mix. I was rescued from a shelter where it is said that I was taken to because my family no longer had time to spend with me. My foster mom picked me up and I enjoyed the ride home to meet the rest of my foster family. I have done a good job trying to fit in with my four foster siblings. My alpha brother has reminded me a few times that I am the ænewbie' in the pack and I am fine with that. I have a weight problem; however, my foster parents are helping with my diet and I really enjoy milling around outside which is helping me to get in better shape too. I go to the door when I need to go outside and have not had an accident in the house as of this writing. I do have a tendency to get excited at mealtime and I usually eat my meals in a crate as all of us fur-babies are separated at mealtime. I am happy sleeping on a dog bed and have been known to cuddle with my foster siblings. My foster parents compliment me by saying that my howl sounds like a trill of a screech owl which is saved for special occasions. I get along with other dogs (cats unknown). I do get a bit nervous with toddlers that pinch and poke so would do best with older children. Just look my beautiful eyes! I hope to join your family soon!
