Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucy is a very beautiful, loyal, loving and sometimes nervous, ten-year-old, 11-pound, female Toy American Eskimo looking for a loving guardian. Lucy is affectionate and sweet with those that she loves. She loves to play ball and chase water from a hose. She’s great with adults and teens after she gets to know them … but she barks, growls and snaps at young children. She doesn’t like fast movement or loud noises, and she’s wary of strangers. She is otherwise very well-behaved in the home. She likes to pick out a fluffy pillow and lay on it to be admired like the gorgeous diva that she is. While she tends to ignore other dogs and cats in the home, she does bark at larger dogs on her walks. She seems to enjoy the company of smaller dogs. Lucy has an amazingly plush coat which needs to be brushed regularly which she enjoys. She also gets professionally groomed every few months. She’s a very quiet dog who would be fine in an apartment or condo. Lucy loves walks and attention; she’d do best in a quiet home. While she’s fine with men, she does prefer women. She needs some time to warm up, but will roll over for belly rubs when she’s trusting of her humans. She is very attentive and responds well to commands like sit and stay. Lucy is fine with being left alone all day while her humans work. But she wouldn’t complain if they were around more often than not. She loves going for car rides and road trips … she’s happy to sit in a lap. Lucy was originally rescued from someone who allowed her to have four litters. She is now healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, de-wormed, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Lucy, please contact Blaise at blaisedierks@gmail.com or 773-547-6365. Her adoption fee of $125 benefits rescued pets.
