Fred's Story...
Fred is a handsome, long-haired grey and white kitty, who was rescued from Jefferson County Animal Control with his smaller grey tabby brother, George. He is a big, sweet, easy-going boy who loves to cuddle, purr 24/7, and play hide and seek with his brother George, and all his foster brothers and sisters. Fred loves to help with filling his water bowl, and tests the water level with his big, white paws to make sure it has been filled to the brim! ;-) He loves to rub noses, make biscuits on your lap, and get kisses. He is neutered, UTD on all his shots, litter-box trained, and micro-chipped. He is good with cats and dogs alike, and his temperament would allow him to fit into any loving household.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fred, a ST LOUIS Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in ST LOUIS, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in ST LOUIS.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in ST LOUIS already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a ST LOUIS breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in ST LOUIS paves the way for another one to be saved.
