George's Story...
George is the most adorable, gentle, and sweet young boy. He was rescued with his brother, Fred, from Jefferson County Animal Control. He is approximately 6 mos old, but has wonderful, wise, soulful eyes. He loves to be loved, and will gently rub his face against yours, and tenderly tap you with with his paws for additional belly and head rubs. He is the best cuddler, and loves nothing more than to be by your side, purring contentedly. He is good with cats and dogs; and adores playing hide and seek with his brother Fred, and all of his other foster sisters and brothers. He is neutered, UTD on all of his shots, litter box trained, and micro chipped. His temperament will allow him to fit in easily in any loving home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a ST LOUIS Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in ST LOUIS, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in ST LOUIS.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in ST LOUIS already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a ST LOUIS breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in ST LOUIS paves the way for another one to be saved.
