Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are seeking a low-key home atmosphere for Dee Dee, where she can relax and chill out. She doesn't love change so something steady and calm. Once she is comfortable, this little princess is a riot. She is so tiny in size (four pounds!) but huge in personality. And don't let the grey hair fool you! Deja isn't even four years old yet. Her birthday is September 16, 2010.
Deja was treated for heartworm and she is taking it slow in her recovery but seems to be doing much better now. Experienced dog owners only, please.
The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904 to protect the city's working horses. Today, its clinic and Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center looks after the health and emotional well-being of every adoption animal.
HSNY is a non-kill shelter. Every animal is micro-chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and they offer FREE vet care for the first 3 weeks after adoption. TO APPLY, please visit http://humanesocietyny.org/adoptions/ --download the application, then email completed form to sandra.hsny@verizon.net, fax it to (212) 752-2803, or bring it in person to the adoption center.
Our one and only location is: 306 East 59th Street (between 1st & 2nd Avenues) in Manhattan. Our adoption hours are 10:30AM - 4:00PM, 7 days a week.
