Brutus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Brutus's Story...
Brutus is handsome 3-year-old Harlequin Great Dane. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. He also had Gastroplexy surgery to prevent bloat. He is an incredibly sweet and loving dog who just wants to be around people all the time. He enjoys car rides, playing fetch, and he loves water. He has had training through Man's Best Friend and he has lifetime membership if ever need a refresher course.

Brutus needs a home where he'll be indoors (on the couch) and also have a nice backyard to run in. He is currently living with other dogs, but he is apprehensive towards new dogs, because he was attacked a few times. He can also be a bit territorial. He may be OK in a home with an older dog.

Brutus hasn't been around small children, and for that reason we would rather not have him in a home with small kids, since he sometimes has a weird reactions to them.

If you'd like to give Brutus a new loving home, please fill out the adoption application on our website. Applications will be forwarded to Brutus's owner and she will review the application. If it's a potential match, she will contact adopters.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Austin Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Austin, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
