Conor's Story...
Conor is an 8 year old Australian Shepherd/St. Bernard mix who has beautiful blue fur! Don't be fooled by his age, this guy is ready to go go go! He is very happy go lucky and affectionate with people, and does well with other dogs.

A $175.00 adoption donation helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, microchipped and vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. For more information or apply to adopt at www.augustadogadoptions.org or call 540-396-3666.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Conor, a Staunton Blue Heeler/St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler/St. Bernard for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Blue Heeler/St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler/St. Bernard breeders who help with Blue Heeler/St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
