Marley's Story...
Marley is a 4 month old spayed female lab mix that is the sweetest little girl you have ever met. She came to us extremely emaciated and her ears were frostbitten. Her owners couldn't afford to feed her - she was lucky to get any leftover table scraps and some cat food. She was kept outside and had frostbitten ears and had developed some spots of hair loss from mange mites caused by the stress. We convinced the owner to surrender her to us and now that she is fattened up, she is the sweetest and most loving pup you could ever meet. She craves attention and loves children. She is great with other dogs also. She is current on her vaccinations, dewormed, spayed, and her bald spots are healing up. She is also house trained already! Who will be her lucky new owners? (AE)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a Harrisonburg Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
