My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Harrison Ford, a stunning Husky mix that is estimated to around 3 years old. He was rescued from a kill shelter in January 2014 and has been winning hearts with our rescue ever since! He is doing well in his New England foster home, is house trained, being crate trained and gets along well with other dogs. Harrison loves rolling on his back for belly rubs and giving kisses. He is playful and loves running around outside in the snow, but he loves to take long naps at his foster families feet when inside. He is not destructive and is not a chewer or a marker. He does wonderful in the car, is good with children and loves the company of his people and other dogs. He is a submissive dog by nature and has some basic commands down like sit, stay, come, easy, leave it, and off. He is working on leash manners and is very in tune with his handler. This boy is an intelligent, confident dog when comfortable but is shy with uncertain objects and people. He responds very well to gentle correction and being introduced to an object through smell (bringing in a large box into the house made him cautious and he barked briefly, but after calling him over to smell the box he was fine). That being said, he is not very vocal for a Husky, but will alert you to visitors. He is less cautious with other dogs around and he would love to have a home with another dog to show him how wonderful the world is. As easy as he is to have around, his adopter should have some experience with dogs. He is a complete gem for his foster family and is as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside, he is just waiting for the right home! He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date with vaccines. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
