Copper's Story...
Copper is an adorable 2 year old Golden mix!! He was rescued before being euthanized at a rural county shelter. He has done great in his foster home. The first night he was there he climbed into a nice warm dog bed and looked up at his foster parents almost to say "thank you". He has been working on his house training and will even ring a bell thats attached to the door or whine while at the door. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and kept current on heart guard and frontline while in foster care. He does great with the other dogs in his foster home and enjoys being loved on. We are pretty sure he has NEVER experienced that.

If you are interested in Copper please email saveourshelterdogsrescue@yahoo.com. Coppers adoption fee is $200.00 to help recover his vetting costs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Copper, a Covington Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Covington, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Covington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covington paves the way for another one to be saved.
