Lady's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Lady's Story...
Lady is a happy, 10 1/2 year old Dobie. She's black/rust with cropped ears. She's friendly, outgoing, gets along well with most other dogs and loves people. She's also very housetrained, knows basic obedience and is very well behaved in the house (other than an occasional checking out of what goodies might lie on the kitchen counter... ) Lady came to DAR&E the product of divorce. According to her records she's been overweight most her life, even topping out at 95 pounds at one time!!!! She's on a diet/exercise program and is losing weight and feeling much better, but the resulting damage of carrying that excess weight has been done to Lady's joints. She has arthritis, the worst of which is in her knees. As the weight comes off and the joint supplements kick in, along with regular gentle exercise, you can see her moving/getting up much better, but care to manage her arthritic aches and pains will be necessary. Right now a buffered aspirin seems to really be helping. Lady is very affectionate, loving and loves to cuddle! She's looking for a retirement home with someone who will love her and enjoy this happy senior in her golden years.
DAR&E only places within the Maryland, DC, West Virginia and Virginia area. Please do no apply to adopt if you live outside of those areas. Please visit our website ( for additional information on adopting one of our DAR&E Dobermans & an online application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a Arlington Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
