Nook's Story...
Hello there! My name is Nook (gorgeous Chocolate Labrador Retriever) and this is my best friend Mistletoe (Male Golden Retriever.) We are looking for a new home - together - because we are the dynamic duo. We love everyone and everything - kids, dogs - whatever. We are currently in a foster home in Knoxville with the coolest Lab and he thinks we are "funny". We are both "retrievers" and like to retrieve things. Squeaky toys are the best. We are both about 2 years old, house trained and ready for a forever home where we can entertain our family with our funny antics and snuggle when we are tired. We are both healthy too! So if you are looking to add to really cool "retrievers" to your home, please ask for us, Mistletoe and Nook.

If interested adopting in Mistletoe and Nook, visit our website at http://www.adoptagoldenknoxville.org/new_england.html. If all that looks good, please move forward and fill out an application.

NOTE: Adopt A Golden Knoxville rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in your area. These dogs are fostered in private homes in East Tennessee. Therefore, it is not possible to meet the dogs and pups prior to their adoption. They are brought up north on a USDA transport

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nook, a Brattleboro Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
