Ruthie's Info...

Ruthie's Story...
Ruthie is a sweetheart of a dog. She is small at 11# and loves to cuddle on her human's lap. Ruthie came to DREAM with extreme infection in her mouth. Ruthie had a dental and got rid of those rotten teeth. Ruthie is an adult 5-7 years old and now has many years left to give kisses! Ruthie is not slowed down even with being dentally challenged. She loves to play and enjoys attention of her humans and fellow canine companions.

Ruthie would make a wonderful pet for someone looking for a dog to be their companion in taking on the world. The sky's the limit for Ruthie!

If you are interested in reaching for the sky with Ruthie, go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Ruthie's adoption fee is $250. Adoption fees go toward covering vetting costs. DREAM is a 501c3 non profit and is licensed by the GA Department of Agriculture as a rescue group.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruthie, a Decatur Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Decatur, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Decatur.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Decatur already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Decatur breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Decatur paves the way for another one to be saved.
