Torque's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Torque's Story...
Torque is such a loveable dog. He lives with two mini schnauzers and a mini schnauzer foster brother and gets along great with all of them. He is only a year and a half but is a very calm dog. We think dogs who have gone through heartworm treatment are calmer than most. He has his moments of play and fun but is very calm when he needs to be too. So far Torque hasn't met a stranger, person or dog. He loves to cuddle and wants to be a couch dog but is currently trained to only come up when he is invited. He is also house and crate trained. He is fully vetted, fixed and his heartworms have been treated so he is perfectly healthy. Torque would be a wonderful addition to any home who wants a big (70lbs) cuddle bug.

Torque was transferred to us from a shelter as he is heartworm positive and we are treating him for this. He will have several weeks in a foster home before he is ready to go home. As we get to know him more we will update his profile.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in one of our Boxers, please visit www.midwestboxerrescues.com  and if you are interested in one of our Schnauzers, please visit www.bsro.org to review our adoption requirements and complete an adoption application. We require home visits, prefer a fenced yard and at least one group obedience class for our dogs. Placements will be done where our volunteers can do a home visit in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Torque, a Springfield Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
