Jerry - $50.00's Story...
Hi I'm Jerry. I was born around April 15, 2013, and I'm a total love bug!!!! Look at me I'm handsome as well. I was found as a stray with my brother Ben in June of 2013. For some reason no one came to adopt me or to rescue you me. Sadly I grew up at the shelter. I am so sweet, and so beautiful I don't know why no one wanted me. Although the shelter in Southern Illinois took care of me, and I was free to roam in the kitty room, it was not a family of my own. Then on January 11th, I was told I was rescued by some wonderful Angels and I was boarding the much anticipated freedom ride to Northern Illinois and my brother Ben was also being rescued Yippeee.

I arrived safe and sound, went to see a very nice vet who cleaned my ears and checked me out and was very impressed at how healthy and sweet I was. I really liked that vet lady. I'm sensitive to the topical revolution (the flea and heartworm preventative), so I won't ever be able to get that. When my foster mom applied it, it burned my skin....ouch! So no revolution for me please.

I LOVE dogs, I LOVE other cats, and I LOVE my people! I can tell you that I'm a happy boy, very, very friendly, very loving, very outgoing, very social, huge cuddle bug, and so far I haven't met a kitty I don't like. I will even come if you call me. I love purring and will be a wonderful companion if only someone would just give me the chance. I promise you that if you give me a home, I will snuggle with you and love you forever. Oh by the way my brother Ben is also up for adoption and he is just as sweet and handsome as I am.

I am currently being fostered in a home in Naperville, but I'm told I will soon be at the Petco in Oswego so I can meet people and show them how friendly I really am. If you would like to meet me, please go to to complete the on-line feline adoption application, which can be found under the adoptables tab. An application is required prior to meeting me so PLEASE SUBMIT THE APPLICATION SO YOU CAN MEET ME! Oh by the way I'm great with kids. I love the 14 year old in the home, and I promise not to be very rough with the little ones as long as they are nice to me and don't poke me.

Please note that Angels On Wheels Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them. It can take several days to process your application and we thank you for your patience in advance.

The adoption fee of $50.00 includes: The neutering which was already done, kitty box trained, microchipped, FeLv/FIV testing which was negative, I've had all three of my kitten vaccinations for Distemper-panleukopenia-calicivirus-chlamydia- rhinotracheitis and Rabies Vaccinated, Fecal tested, Deworming, Ear Cleaning, Given Revolution along with any other medical needs. You will also receive a free office visit to one of our participating vets.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerry - $50.00, a Naperville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
