Marley's Info...

Marley's Story...
This is Marley. She is another dog here at the center as a result of circumstances totally out of her control. She was adopted at 8 weeks old from ARF and is back now after a year and a half looking for a new home. Her family is moving to a place that won't allow dogs.

She is very sweet, loves people, other dogs, and although she has not had any previous experience with cats, foster mom says she doesn't even seem to notice her resident cats. Marley just arrived in her foster home yesterday and foster mom is already in love with her. Marley has wonderful manners, 100% house trained, playful, and she can run like the wind. She is so entertaining to watch in her foster mom's large back yard. Marley is going to make some lucky family very happy. She may look big in the pictures, but she's probably only 40-45 lbs. We are guessing her to be a Whippet/Lab mix.

If you would be interested in meeting Marley contact the adoption center at 410-643-8700 or email us at info@arfusa.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a Chester Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Whippet for sale in Chester, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog from a breeder in Chester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Whippet breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chester paves the way for another one to be saved.
