Gilbert Grape? No way! Bullies Can’t Eat Grapes!
Hiya Fans!
Gilbert here! I’m one of the hunks from Project New Beginning. I’m a 42lb, two-and-a-half-year-old energetic bully boy.
I’m very excited to be out of the puppy mill! I can’t contain my excitement. I want to play, run and eat all the snow I can find. I was in pretty rough shape when I arrived; I just had surgery to repair my elongated soft palate and my back left leg. I’m recovering well! Overall, I’m pretty healthy considering all I’ve been through. In addition to my surgeries, I’ll arrive at your home neutered, up to date on all my vaccinations, heart worm free and microchipped, too.
I'm adjusting well to life on the outside, but there’s a lot to take in. Right now I’m working on my manners and potty training. I’m already starting to go potty outside, which is a big deal. I get treats and rewards for being a good guy, so I’m really making an effort. I really like dogs; I live with a furry foster brother and he seems cool. He’s pretty lazy, though. I’m trying to get him out and about - I don’t think he understands how yummy snow is! So what I know is, I really need to go to a home with another dog to keep me company.
I am also very nervous when my humans leave the home. I have pretty crazy separation anxiety so am hoping to find a home where my humans are around much of the day. Give me humans, another dog or two, and lovin’ and I will be all set!
My perfect forever home would be a home willing to exercise me. I’m recovering from my surgeries now, but I have a lot of energy and I love to go outside. I've been through a lot in my short life and I’d really like some stability, too. I'm a young active guy, so a home with no small children would be best for me.
I appreciate you taking the time to learn about me. Interested in hearing more, or donating to Project New Beginning? Please visit http://www.ebullymatch.com/.
