7 Litters Later….No More Puppies and Only Love for Me!

Hi there. My name is Jilly and my foster mom calls me “Jilly Bug” or “Buggy Bug” because I am always moving, under her feet, like a sweet little bug that follows her everywhere. I have quite a tale to tell! I came to CEBR as part of Project New Beginning, a rescue that was very special and saved the lives of 25 dogs. I was living in a puppy mill and get this, I was pregnant! Yep! I was in a mill and about to have my 7th litter! And guess what, I just had a litter 5.5 months before – so I was pregnant twice in one year. Oh boy…I couldn’t believe it either. So CEBR took me into their care and helped me safely deliver (via C-section of course) a litter of 3 beautiful puppies – Audrey, Squeaks and Moby. While I love them to pieces, I am happy to say that I won’t be having any more puppies and can focus all of the attention on my care now.

I am SUCH a good momma and just dote on these pups. I’m just 4.5 years old myself so act like a baby too. I never got to have a real puppyhood so I do things like steal toys, and beg for food…I act just like a puppy myself! The pups are weaned now (and on their way to their forever homes in just a few weeks). So that means it’s time for me to find my forever home.

Even though I’ve lived my life in a crate, I learned potty training in my new home really quickly. I am such a good girl. I try to climb on the furniture but have only successfully made it up twice (without help of course). But I like to give my foster family my big doe eyes and they cave in! I am also update to date on my vaccines, microchipped, and will be spayed before I head to my forever home.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE to be the center of attention. I will fall at your feet and roll onto my side and simply demand your love. IF you are sitting I rest my head on your knee so that you don’t forget that I am here. When you arre walking, I am under your feet. When you are standing, I am leaning into you. I just want to be loved…every second. My foster mom says I am very gentle, and kind, and loving...just perfection. She can’t believe how many litters I had in my lifetime and wants only the best of the best for me.

To be honest, I’d do great in a home where someone is around much of the day. I’m such a social girl that I can’t stand to be apart from my humans. Perhaps you could take me to work with you? Or maybe you work from home? Or are retired and want a companion? I would do ok with another dog in the home, but would be fine by myself too. I just need someone that will give me so much attention it will make me melt like butter…every day…forever!

Peace and Love

Jilly Bug
