Top of the morning to ya! My name is Porter and I am a curious 3-year-old bully boy with a desire to explore the world! You see, I didn't have such a great start, I lived in a cage for the first years of life in a horrible puppy mill, but thanks to the great folks at CEBR, I was given freedom right before my 3rd birthday and I never looked back. I was so excited to leave the mill that I broke out of my kennel on the way to Chicago and the first thing I did was go at a bag of potato chips! Yep, I climbed all over the van and made my way to the people in the front and the chips next to them! What can I say? I’m a man who knows exactly what he wants in life! Trouble, excitement and attention!
I am energetic like a pup and love going for long walks with my foster parents. At first I wasn't a fan of this white stuff people call snow, but I soon realized how fun it is to run around in and even to eat! I gotta have a good serving or two of fresh snow every time I go outside. My foster dad says that I’m the fastest bully he’s ever met. Once you get me running I could go on forever (on leash or in a fenced yard of course). I would love to have a yard in my forever home or at least have a family who can take me on many walks and can keep up with my boundless energy. I think I’d also like a play buddy who can teach me the ropes since I’m new at this. I've tried playing with my foster sister, but to tell you the truth… she's a bit of a grump. I love to play with people but I don't understand why they don't let me chew on them. There isn't a mean bone in me, but I don't think I'd be great around small kids cause I'd probably knock them over all the time!
I'm getting good at this "going" outside thing, at least as long as my parents stay consistent with me. I can be a bit stubborn on training, but it all comes with being a bulldog, right? I like to make you work for my attention. The good news is that I'm just starting to learn to take treats, and boy I must say, I think I can get used to this! I would love to take a training class once I’m adopted.
Well, anyway, I have a couch to try to jump on....one of these days I'm going to make it up there.
Cheers,
Porter

- An active home where he gets plenty of exercise, either on leash with vigorous walks or a home with a fenced yard where he can romp and play.
- He still has work to do on his potty training and general behavior. You will have to be patient and he will need enrolled in an obedience class.
