Amelia's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Amelia's Story...
Amelia was NOT planned! A FOR volunteer was at the animal shelter, picking up kittens for foster homes -- and Amelia stole the show. She wasn't on the "rescue list" but she was penciled in IMMEDIATELY. This is not our average kitten. She dances, bounces, spins, and entertains. Amelia is impossible to ignore and you won't want to! She's great with other cats and will initiate a game within minutes. She has met dogs from 7 to 85 pounds and is fine with them. She loves toys and would be great with an active family of children. If you'd like to meet her, please complete the FOR application at www.FORrescue.net (click on resources) and email info@FORrescue.net to speak with her foster mom. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amelia, a Chattanooga Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
