Romeo's Story...
Romeo is a calm, amiable Bernese Mountain Dog whose family no longer had the time to devote to him; he lived with them for two years but we don’t know how many other homes he has passed through in his life. Next time, his family must commit to him forever. Since Romeo arrived a little overweight and with some bald patches on his thighs, blood tests were done and revealed that he has a thyroid problem. This can be controlled quite easily with medication. Even though he is quiet and relaxed, he does require daily walks to strengthen his muscles and the exercise will also help him to lose a few pounds. He does not need to be chasing balls and catching Frisbees but he must be exercised. Romeo knows what it takes to be part of a family; he is a wonderful, forgiving boy who is ready to put one paw in front of the other and start again. If you feel that you can give Romeo his true forever home, please fill in the Adoption Form.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Romeo, a Ile-Perrot Bernese Mountain Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog for sale in Ile-Perrot, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog dog from a breeder in Ile-Perrot.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ile-Perrot already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ile-Perrot breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ile-Perrot paves the way for another one to be saved.
