Jake's Story...
It’s Adventure Time! You can be my Finn and I’ll be your Jake! Cuz, well, my name's Jake! We can do all sorts of cool pal around things; like battling robot rabbits trying to ruin the world’s carrot supply, or flying cloud ships to exotic floating islands, or playing canasta! You know whatever is cool… But what is really cool is all the things I can share with you! Like I know to ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘off’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, and ‘drop it’. I love car rides, I love to fetch, and if your aim is good enough pilgrim I can ‘play dead’! I am not very fond of cats, well, not that I am not fond of them; but that I can’t understand their ways. Kids 5+ can be my adventure pals, they because they have the best imaginations! And imagination makes for the best adventures! I am house trained and crate trained and submarine trained too! I have lived with other dogs and love to play with whoever I can. I just REALLY love to have a buddy around! So come on human! With Jake the dog the fun will never end, it’s Adventure Time!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Portland Beagle/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Corgi for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle/Corgi dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Corgi breeders who help with Beagle/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
