Nick's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Nick's Story...
There I was, in the largest shelter in NYC. My owner had brought me there, saying she could no longer care for me. She was right to do so, as I was thin and my teeth were in great need of dental care. She did not have much money, so maybe she thought she could just give me scraps. I was scared at the shelter, but the folks there could see that I was an uncut diamond! They made sure that rescues knew about me and that I got to a licensed rescue in RI named Little Paws 4 U. She made sure I had some rest and relaxation and good nutrition. My teeth needed care and she got the care for me. My teeth all had to be pulled. They feel so much better now! The infection is gone from my mouth and although my tongue can be seen at the side of my mouth, it is just a part of my winsome appearance! .I am around 10 pounds and am 7 years old, as mentioned by my previous owner. I love laps and am generally a total love bug! I am all up to date on shots, have a HW (neg) test, am neutered and I have had the dental work. My fee of 385. covers all vetting to date, transport from NYC and I have my own blanket and collar as well. I would love a family which is around in the day, to attend to my love of companionship. Older, respectful (only!) children are all right, as are other, non-aggressive dogs. Please ask about me if you are in RI, eastern CT, western Ma, eastern NY, or are near Boston, Worcester or Fall River. I look forward to meeting my fur-ever family! To meet me, please call Judy at 401 640-0082!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nick, a Foster Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu for sale in Foster, or seeking a Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Foster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Foster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Foster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Foster paves the way for another one to be saved.
