Jenna's Story...
Jenna is a sweetheart of a dog. She clearly loves to be around people and when she looks up at you with those soft brown eyes it's hard to resist! Jenna also has the sleek body and the long leggy length of a Whippet. This girl was born to run and she does! Jenna needs a guardian who will give her lots of exercise and enjoy the grace and beauty of her energy. During a recent play session with a fellow shelter dog Jenna had a blast leading the race around the dog pen. She is so playful and fun to watch. Jenna is also very treat motivated and eager to please so we know she's a good candidate for training. We're hoping someone will fall in love with this girl and bring her home some time soon.

Act quickly to adopt Jenna. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jenna, a Berkeley Border Collie/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Whippet for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Border Collie/Whippet dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Whippet breeders who help with Border Collie/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
