My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

English Springer Spaniel
Age: 9 months
Gender: Male
Color: Black & White
Weight: 58 lbs
Variety: Bench
Here's Kieran! This energetic young boy was given his Irish name, which means "little dark one," by his foster family.

Kieran is all puppy! He loves to run and jump around outside. He also loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home, especially when they will play with him. Ideally, his new home will have another canine playmate for him.

Kieran is a sweet dog who follows his foster mom around and enjoys being with his people. He has a beautiful soft coat that feels like velvet. He goes into his kennel when he is asked to do so. Kieran has a good grasp of housetraining, and he lets his foster parents know that he needs to go out either by whining or standing by the door.

Kieran needs to work on a few typical puppy behaviors, including jumping up on people, counter surfing, and mouthing. He also needs to work on improving his recall. Because of these issues, we are looking for a home in which there are just adults or adults with older children. Kieran will need a family who can be firm and consistent with his training and who is willing to take him to obedience classes.

If you are interested in adding this handsome and charming little dark one to your family, please contact his case managers right away.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Kieran.
