My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bailey is a beautiful young dog. He came from a private home when his family was unable to care for him any longer. He is just 8 months old and weighs 60 lbs. He is a tall pup and although he may need some further training, he is very well behaved and will make an awesome family pet.

Bailey is a gentle giant. He loves attention and is full of energy. He is very obedient and eager to please. He is also very curious, especially on walks. He tends to pull sometimes so some training will be needed, however he is a fast learner so it should not be much of a problem.

He is fully house trained and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He knows basic commands such as sit, paw, lay-down etc. When he gets excited sometimes he pees a little bit. He is a large dog so he tends to counter surf. When he eats he is kind of anxious as if someone is going to eat the food before him, so he eats very fast. if there are other animals in the house it is probably best to separate the dogs while eating until the problem is fixed.

He likes to play fetch but needs to be drilled to drop the toy on command. Bailey is good in his crate when he is alone, but he will suck up to you to try to change your mind about putting him in there lol. He is well behaved, however so i believe a crate shouldn't be needed after he becomes comfortable in the house.

He rarely barks, only when someone is at the door and then he only barks once or twice. He is open to strangers and not timid when meeting them. He doesn't jump on furniture and is well behaved inside.

I think Bailey needs a family who can give him the attention and exercise he needs. I also believe he will be good with older children as his size and energy level may be too much for infants and younger children. He is however, super friendly so he would make a great family pet. I wouldn't be worried about him being aggressive with anyone, even if the kids are playing a bit rough.

If you think Bailey would be a good fit for your family, please submit an application for consideration.
