Dixie's Story...
Dixie is a sweetheart of a girl just looking for a home to call her own. She is very smart, energetic and loves to play. Dixie and her siblings came to us as puppies after having been ridden around in the back of a truck during mid summer. She was dehydrated, full of parasites and lethargic. After getting her and her siblings cleaned up, wormed and vaccinated we still faced another major problem, these girls ended up with parvo. With a week of sleepless nights, antibiotic injections, nausea medication and lots of TLC they pulled through thankfully and made a full recovery! Now finally after 3 months of being healthy Dixie and her sisters are searching for a furever family! These girls are currently being fostered in Mississippi while they await their new families!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Memphis German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Memphis, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
