Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jewel is a 1 year old American Bulldog mix, weighing 53 lbs. She was stray that found her way into a kind lady’s yard when temperatures were in the single digits. She was starving and thirsty, far too many bones showing on her body and had obviously had pups at some point in the recent past. Sadly, there were no pups with her. She inhaled food and water with her tail wagging the entire time as though it had been forever since she had experienced something so wonderful. The woman named her Jewel, first due to her one bright blue eye and second, because in her poor condition, she felt she was like a diamond in the rough. The woman just knew Jewel would be someone's special dog someday in spite of a harsh beginning. She is such a sweet and gentle dog. Jewel appears to be well socialized with people and other animals (cats and dogs) and has shown no aggression whatsoever. She loves to give kisses and has shown to be very loyal.
