Here's what the humans have to say about me:
True is a sweet, silly, happy go lucky, love everyone kind of girl. She is estimated to be about 7.5 months old and weighs just over 20 pounds. She does well with other dogs, loves to play and does a good job of tailoring her play style to that of the dog she's with - bigger or smaller. She is pretty sure everyone she meets should pet her and adore her...and pretty much everyone does! She loves a good snuggle and sometimes comes over just to have a cuddle before going back to play some more. She is housetrained if taken out on a schedule but as with any pup, in a new home she'll need someone to watch her close at first and help her get the new routine down. She is a very smart girl, learns fast and knows sit and down. She is going to training class and is a star pupil - she's very attentive and loves to learn and have her brain engaged. True needs an active home that will provide plenty of social activity with people and other dogs to be her happiest self. She'd love a home with another dog but would likely be fine without one if she had opportunities to play with other dogs. She loves the dog park - or did before it got too cold to go! She is not crate trained but stays gated in a room with another dog when no one is home. True will do best in a home with a fenced yard to run and play in.
Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom & dad are!), we are guessing on breed and size when grown.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis.
If you are interested in meeting this dog or pup please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday February 8, 2014, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, at their new location, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend.
