Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maggie is a bright little ball of energy that is very social with both people and other animals. She is approximately one-year old and 30 pounds. While big on snuggling and cuddling, this sweetie also loves to run and play and would love an active forever home.
After becoming familiar with her person, Maggie does well off the leash at the dog park and is very friendly towards others. She is getting used to the concept of a leash, and does not pull often and is mostly content to stay close on walks.
Maggie can be submissive so training must be gentle with this little sweetie. She is kenneled when not supervised and is good about going in her kennel. Maggie will make a tremendously sweet and loving companion for those in her forever home.
Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom & dad are!), we are guessing on breed and size when grown.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis.
If you are interested in meeting this dog or pup please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Sunday March 2, 2014, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, at their new location, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend.
