My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annie is Adopted

Annie is currently fostered in Painesvill Ohio, and her adoption fee (donation) is $275

Annie is a beautiful 5 yr old buff female cocker spaniel.
She came to us from a breeder in W. Virginia where she lived in a barn most of her life.
She is a little on the timid side, but not overly so like some mill dogs can be.
She is now in a foster home, and is learning how to be a pet, and to be loved indoors where it is warm and cozy.

Annie recently had puppies when she was living in a cold barn, however because of the frigid temps, they all froze to death, it was very sad.
We have not had a whole lot of time to evaluate this pretty little girl yet, but so far, she has been very very sweet, and is enjoying human attention.

Annie loves other dogs, and will probably do best in a home with at least one other dog to guide her.
In our experience, the timid dogs dont do well as only dogs, mostly because they get their confidence from following a leader in the "pack".

Annie has also been doing well with being housetrained, and is taken out regularly with the 2 other cockers in her foster home.
She does her business, and seems to be catching on at the time being, however we anticipate there will be some accidents, those are to be expected.
She is really a cute little cocker girl, and is on the smaller side, weighing only 21 lbs.

We do not recommend small toddlers for Annie, but think she will do fine with older children 8 yrs and up.

Annie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
