Tilly's Story...
Meet Tilly.... One of our volunteers found her at the shelter. She was patiently sitting there while people were walking by her and being overlooked. She was sitting there quietly with her tail wagging hoping somebody would stop and say hello, but nobody did. When she went over to say hello, she was so happy, gently pressing her body against the cage to be touched, wagging her tail. We found out she was on the 24 hour list to be euthanized, so we grabbed her.
We don't know her story because she was a stray, but we do know that she is a total sweetheart. She has perfect house manners, is quiet, house trained, walks next to you on leash, knows some basic commands. Her favorite things are going for car rides, walks, and sitting next to you while watching tv or working on the computer, belly rubs and rolling around in the grass. She would be fine in an apartment or house. She would be ok as the only dog or with another mellow dog.
We don't know what breed she is. Maybe a mix of a few things, but she looks like fox weighs about 40lbs

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tilly, a Marina del Rey Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
