Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID
One look at this face and you’ll be hooked – dare you to look!
Fuzzy Pawz volunteers fell head over heels in love when they came across Thumper (a 6 year old Pekingese) in a shelter in Utah. One look at his face and we couldn’t resist and had to place him into foster care.
Thumper is a delightful companion, not exhibiting a bad bone in his body; he is in a word ADORABLE. Thumper has luxurious fur, and a calm and loving personality. He loves to sit either in your lap or next to you so you can pet and/or brush him.
This handsome boy is blind, due to surgical removal of both of his eyes; but so long as you don't move the furniture around too often, finds his way around without help. He loves to run around the fenced back yard and play. His foster tells him "step down" when a step is right in front of him and he seems to understand. If you need him to move in a semi-hurry, rather than letting him find his own way from point A to B, walk closely in front of him and he will follow you.
Thumper sleeps happily in his crate or anywhere you want him to, will come when you call him at least in the yard, knows how to tell you when he needs to go outside, and is generally a jewel of a dog. He does snore, though, like most push faced dogs. He is house trained but does need to go outside on a regular schedule as dog doors don’t appear to be his friend.
He really likes other dogs of all sizes and we are sure he would be fine with cats; Thumper is just super easy going. He will play with toys especially if they make noise he has a crowing rooster in his foster home and when Thumper finds it, he will sit and make it crow over and over.
This lovely little man with a heart of gold deserves a family of his own who will enjoy his zest for love, loving heart and sweet demeanor. If you can be that family please contact Fuzzy Pawz Rescue and fill out the adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/
There is an adoption fee of $75 to adopt Thumper.
Thumper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped
