Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID
Come and meet me, I’m
Loyal and loving
Every day with me will be
Joyful and delightful.
CLEA can be a tad bit shy when meeting new people but when you touch her with a gentle hand she melts right into your touch. She craves human contact and it’s no wonder; Clea has spent her entire life as an outside dog with minimal human contact; she has had 2 homes and a stay in the shelter before coming to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue. Despite all of that she is the sweetest, gentlest girl in the world.
This beautiful girl is a 7 year old Lab mix who weighs in at 65 pounds. She knows sit, stay, come and is dog door trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash.
Due to Clea’s previous backyard life she is still getting accustomed to the sights and sounds in a home and when out on a walk – it’s a big wide world for her to explore and learn. She gets excited about life but can also be easily startled by loud noises or in unexpected situations. She does not bolt though and rather will drop to the floor and cower behind you; she trusts her human to protect her. She does rebound pretty quickly once she realizes that all is okay. Because of this Clea will need to go to a home with older kids only 12 and up or an adults only home; little kids would be to stressful for her and we don’t want her to regress we want her to thrive in her new home.
Like most Labs Clea loves to play with a ball; however in her case it is a game of chase; you know fetch without the retrieving part. A little work and we are sure she will get it eventually; toys and play are new to her. Clea loves to ride in the car and would make a great companion for someone who likes to “go” with their dog; this will also help keep up Clea’s socialization
Clea does not have a dominant bone in her body and goes just fine with other dogs and would probably benefit from being with another dog that can “show her the ropes” of the home.
This girl is a sweet and gentle soul who wants and needs nothing more than someone to love her, care for her and maybe let her snuggle on their lap once in awhile.
She is microchipped, spayed and current on all vaccines.
If you can give this adorable girl a family that will love and cherish her forever please contact us and fill out the adoption application at www.fuzzypawzrescue.com
