Meet Ginger. She is a velcro dog - loves to go with you and see what you're doing. She likes to rub up against you and nuzzle you to get attention and pets. She will get down on her elbows to engage another dog in play. She likes squeaky toys and balls. There may not be a toy she doesn't like. Gingers little butt wiggles when she wags her tail. She looks up at you with puppy dog eyes. She loves human attention.
A volunteer has said this about her: Ginger is one sweet and fun loving girl. She never seems to want to stop playing. When you stop and go about your business, she will find something to keep herself entertained . . . such as finding a stick and throwing it up and catching it. There's never a dull moment watching this one. She will be a perfect fit for almost any family.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)
NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
