Tiki's Story...
Tiki was in a shelter and needing a calmer environment to heal, so Heart to Heart rescue stepped up to help. She was only 3pounds at 4 months old with demodex so it took months for the demodex to clear up. She is now about 4pounds at 6-7 months old and the vets have cleared her to be spayed so she can be adopted and in her forever home. She loves to sleep and take naps next to you and boy does she love treat time. She does best with routine and quiet home, change seems to stress her. She is not comfortable meeting new people and can run away until she is comfortable with her human then she cries if you leave her but she gets better and calmer with routine. She goes potty outside and keeps to her schedule even not over eating dry dog food. Walking on a leash is still hard for her since the environment can change and she freezes up. She is so loving and wants so much to be loved in time. Adoption fee $250 email kj62001 @ aol.com (remove spaces) for more information

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiki, a Auburn Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Auburn, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Auburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Auburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Auburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Auburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
