My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. I'm Trixie the mystery dog. The mystery is what breed I am. I was dumped at a pound in Kentucky and the people there thought I was an 8 week old shepherd mix. Well, they were wrong about that. I have all of my adult teeth and the vet thinks I am about 1 1/2 years old and possibly a dachshund/chihuahua mix. In designer dog terms that's a dachs-a-huahua pronounced dox-a-wow-wa. That's just a guess and my foster mom says it really doesn't matter what breed I am. What matters is that I am really cute and a VERY nice dog. I weigh 11 pounds and my FAVORITE thing to do is sit on my foster mom's lap. Another good thing about me is that I'm housebroken. After being in my foster home for a few days, I started to gather up toys that I liked to play with, even the ones that belong to the big dogs that live here.

When I first came here, I was afraid of the 4 big dogs that live here and I growled at them to let them know not to mess with me. Now that I know they won't hurt me, I don't growl at them anymore. Who wouldn't be afraid of dogs that are 10 times your size, especially when they stick their big heads in your face. There are also 2 cats living here. I don't chase them or anything. I just look at them.
