Dixie's Story...
Little Miss Dixie was rescued from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. We can tell that this sweet, adorable " Puggle" has never been inside a house before. She is so happy and playful, but she is still learning how to live inside a home as it is clear she's never been a part of a family. She just loves her new foster people and enjoys affection and attention--she'll give it right back! Dixie. She's exactly 25 lbs, super outgoing. She's got lots of energy and loves to play. She is not house broken yet but with A LOT of time and patience, Dixie will learn how to be your inside companion. An experienced dog owner would be best to put Dixie on a schedule and teach her the ways of the world. She is wonderful with everyone, including children and other dogs, and she is a bit submissive. If Dixie is the girl for you, please COPY AND PASTE THIS LINK TO YOUR BROWSER TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION; Dixie has been fully vetted including shots, worming, heart guard and spay. Vetting and transport up north included in her $450 adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Westport Pug/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Beagle for sale in Westport, or seeking a Pug/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Beagle breeders who help with Pug/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
