Kiki's Story...
Hi My name is Kiki and me and my pal Paco were both adopted from Friends for Life a couple of years ago by a real nice lady who loved us a whole bunch. We were a happy family until recently when our adoptive mom got transferred by her job to work overseas. She decided that the move would be too difficult for us because of something called the "quarantine period". She tried and tried for months to find us a new home and when she could not she called Friends for Life and asked them for help. Luckily they were able to provide us with a nice place to live and promised to help us find a home where we could be together. We are both really sweet and loving if not a little shy at first. We would love to meet you so please visit us soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kiki, a Houston Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Houston, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
