Sassafras is a 1 year old American Staffordshire / Labrador mix. She is medium size and weighs 50 pounds. Sassafras came into the rescue with 2 bad knees. She has had surgery on both knees and made a full recovery. She is a family dog and great with kids. She is a ball of energy and needs plenty of exercise. She would do best in an active home. If there is a pool around you will find her in it or jumping off the edge after her floating toys. She loves to play with her toys. After a long day of play she will quietly chew on her nylon bones and deer antlers. She is one smart little girl and already knows sit, stay, down, lay down, crate and is working on fetch. If you are looking for an affectionate and cuddly dog Sassafras is it.
