Cheyenne is what I call a "San Antonio Special". A good old street dog who has a little bit of every breed in her and she comes out looking super cute!
Cheyenne is a VERY beautiful dog! She is this lovely tan and white, after some googling I think that she has the look of a Red Lacy. She is the perfect medium sized dog weighing in at around 50 lbs. The vet estimates she is around a year and a half old so she is past that puppy stage but still has the energy to keep you active!
Cheyenne was hanging out in the middle of the road on the Southside of San Antonio when I spotted her! She was in pretty rough shape and was pretty thin too. Cheyenne just looked like she had had a rough life on the streets and was ready for a break! She was pretty leery of me but it was nothing a few chicken nuggets couldn't fix!
After tossing her nuggets I was able to slip a leash on her and get her loaded in my car where she road back to Austin like the good girl that she has shown me to be!
Cheyenne had no microchip, collar or tags and no one ever responded to her many ad's on-line so I can only assume based on those things and her body condition that Miss Cheyenne isn't missed by anyone and as sad as that is, it makes for a great opportunity for you because Cheyenne is a GREAT dog!
Cheyenne is very loving and would happily be in your lap all day everyday if you let her! Most days you will find her laying behind me on my office chair! Believe it or not that is her favorite place to be!
We are still working on the no jumping thing because Cheyenne does get excited to see people and wants to jump up to give you kisses which can be a bit startling to some! So at this time I am recommending that she go to a home with older children just because she can be a bit boisterous!
Cheyenne currently lives with 20 other dogs and gets along with everyone big and small! So if you have other dogs no problems there!
Cheyenne hasn't been around cats and I would recommend a cat test prior to completing the adoption but Cheyenne is so sweet and eager to please that I don't imagine she will have a problem with cats at all!
Cheyenne is spayed, current on her vaccines and microchipped so she will never again be lost on the streets!
