My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kaiya! Kaiya is a 10 year old German Shepherd. She is the smaller Shepherd in the pictures. Kaiya weighs in at around 55lbs and she is a very sweet & gentle girl who would just love some stability in her life. She came into the rescue with Lemme, but think she would do better on her own or with another calm older dog who isn't so pushy. Lemme can be a bit of a bully to her at times, and we think she would enjoy it if she didn't have to worry about him constantly pinning her to the ground. Kaiya is a pretty quiet girl, who only barks when strangers come to the door or if she sees another dog through a barrier/fence. She enjoys going on walks and does very well on the leash. She is a bit nervous with new people so we are looking for a home for her without small children. A quieter home would be ideal for her. We have not cat tested Kaiya yet, but can do so upon request. She is a very sweet girl who loves gentle petting and scratches. Kaiya is heartworm positive and is currently going through treatment with us. She is spayed and current on vaccinations/vetting.
