Pepper's Story...
Pepper is an older shepherd boy who was transferred to us from out local pound. He is a heart-breaker and sure to make the perfect Valentine for some wonderful family.

$175.00 adoption donation helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, microchipped and vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. For more information or apply to adopt at www.augustadogadoptions.org or call 540-396-3666.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
