MILO's Story...
Milo is a 12-15 month old male BC/Aussie mix. His is fawn and white with a gorgeous full rough coat. Milo is a very affectionate dog who craves attention from humans. He exhibits those wonderful BC & Aussie traits that you look for in a canine family companion. He really wants to be a part of your family and is looking for that special person(s) with whom he can form a lifetime bond. He has an easy going temperament and gets along very well with other dogs. He is very eager to learn and loves to work for his treats. In the very short time he has been in rescue, he has been a pleasure to work with and I have been working on his basic obedience (sit, lay down). Milo also demonstrates fairly good recall. With additional obedience, he will fully blossom and mature into a wonderful companion. He is not food aggressive with humans, however, he should be fed separately from other dogs. He rides very well in the car, adores to go on walks, he walks very well on a leash, and is crate trained. At this time, I am recommending a home without cats. Milo has been evaluated with children 5 years old and up and would make a fabulous family companion. He has typical higher energy because of his age, but he should settle down quite nicely once he knows he has found his new forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MILO, a San Pedro Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
