My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES BROOKE INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE

Brooke came to us almost 6 months ago, she was in terrible condition, she was Demodex Mange Pup that was covered in sores the size of saucers and was a bleeding oozing mess. Emaciated, she was abandoned at an abandoned house and left to fend for herself sick and alone. Brooke's Vet said it was one of the worst cases of mange she'd seen, working in rescue, most rescues have had a really horrible case from time to time, it is shameful that an owner would refuse medical treatment for a totally treatable condition, that is not expensive to treat if caught early, but left untreated can wreak havoc and take months and months to heal and recuperate from and be costly then. Routine care and a quick vet visit would have prevented all the suffering that Brooke went thru in the early stages of Demodex. We find it reprehensible that owners would care so little for their dog to let it get to this point.

Brooke has blossomed and Flourished under the hard work her foster mom did for her. Brooke has gained 25+lbs. She has beautiful fur and healthy skin with a small patch of residual flaky skin that is healing well. We are fully confident for 100% recovery and she is able to go to her forever home.

Brooke is a purebred X-large female German Shepherd but due to the negligence of her previous owner, she did not receive the proper nutrition as a puppy,

This could explain why she has one ear up and one ear down.

As silly as this looks it adds to the character of a silly and goofy girl,

That's Brooke's Personality. She is an absolute LOVE!!!

She is cat friendly and fostered in a home with Cats. She is great with other dogs as well. Brooke is approx. 1 yr. old, she is in the 80-85lb. range with potential to be 90+.

Brooke is housebroke, crate trained, well behaved and knows some commands, her foster mom have done an amazing job with her and Brooke will make a wonderful and loving family member for some family.

If you would like to make Brooke a part of your family, please apply with this Rescue.
